Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how transcribevideototext ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use transcribevideototext.io or its Vidribe mobile app, create an account, upload media, import a supported public link, or use our transcription services.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Account information: Your name, email address, profile image, authentication provider, and account preferences.
Uploaded and imported content: Video or audio files, public media links, transcripts, selected languages, file metadata, and processing status needed to provide the service.
Usage and device information: Pages and features used, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from IP address, diagnostic logs, and security events.
Billing information: Subscription status, product, transaction identifiers, and billing history. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored directly by transcribevideototext.
Support communications: Information you include when contacting us about your account, billing, or a transcription job.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

provide, secure, and maintain accounts and transcription features;
upload, process, store, and deliver requested transcripts;
manage quotas, subscriptions, payments, and customer support;
detect abuse, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot service errors;
understand product performance and improve reliability; and
comply with applicable legal obligations.

Service Providers

We may use infrastructure, storage, authentication, analytics, email, payment, and transcription providers to operate the service. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services and are subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. Uploaded private media and transcripts are not published publicly by default.

When you choose an AI summary, document question, or slide-generation feature, the document text and your question are sent to APIMart for model processing. Do not submit sensitive information you do not want processed by this provider. Generated results and AI history are saved to your website account and shared with the app. PDF, text-file and image imports retain the extracted text; uploaded audio/video may retain original media in cloud storage.

When you use Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple account identifier and the email Apple supplies, which may be a private relay address. We store an encrypted authorization token on the server so we can revoke the Apple authorization when you delete the account. The mobile app stores the website session token in device secure storage, not your Apple password.

Retention and Deletion

We retain account, billing, media, transcript, and diagnostic information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet security and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to records we must retain for legal, fraud-prevention, or billing purposes.

In Vidribe, open Profile → Privacy & Data → Permanently delete my account. You must sign in again if your session is more than five minutes old and explicitly confirm deletion. Successful deletion removes the shared website/app account, online transcripts and AI history, and invalidates its sessions. Original media enters a retryable cleanup queue, normally completing within 48 hours. Backups expire according to the infrastructure provider's retention policy rather than being erased immediately. Contact support if you need confirmation of a delayed cleanup or details of backup retention.

Deleting an account does not automatically cancel Apple or website subscriptions. Cancel them with the platform where you subscribed to prevent future billing. Payment providers manage their own transaction records under their policies and applicable requirements. Files you exported or shared outside the service are not deleted from those destinations.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information in transit and at rest. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong password, protect your account, and avoid uploading content you are not authorized to process.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information. You may also manage authentication, subscription, and account settings from your account where those controls are available.
