How to convert audio files and voice recordings to text

  1. 1.

Select an MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG or FLAC recording.

  2. 2.

Sign in, choose the language and start the secure upload and transcription queue.

  3. 3.

Listen and check the text, save corrections, then export TXT, SRT or VTT.

Choose the original recording

Avoid repeatedly compressing speech. A close microphone and less background music usually make names and short responses easier to recognize.

Review interview speakers

Automatic speaker separation is not available. Review speaker changes yourself, especially when people interrupt or talk at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

How do I transcribe a podcast, interview or meeting recording?

Upload a saved audio file, sign in and select its spoken language. Review names, decisions and overlapping speech before exporting. This workflow does not join a live meeting or automatically label different speakers.

Can I turn a voice memo or speech recording into a TXT file?

Yes. Upload a supported recording such as MP3, M4A or WAV, review the recognized speech and export TXT. For subtitles with timestamps, choose SRT or VTT instead.

Which audio files can I upload?

The workspace accepts MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC. Each file must be within the 5 GB upload limit and your plan's recording-duration limit.

Can I try transcription for free?

Sign in to use the Free plan: 30 transcription minutes per month, with a maximum of 15 minutes per recording. Paid plans provide higher allowances. Your available quota is checked before processing.

Which exports are available?

Review the completed transcript, then download TXT, SRT or VTT. You can correct words and timestamps before exporting. DOCX export and automatic speaker separation are not currently available.

How long does processing take?

Time depends on the recording duration, upload speed and processing queue. A 5 GB upload limit is not a promise that every plan accepts an unlimited recording duration.
